Coastal Georgia Anniversary Photography: 10 Years with Mike & Jess

10 Years Later: Anniversary Photos on St. Simons Island

There’s something magical about returning to the place where it all began. This fall, I had the absolute joy of photographing my dear friends Mike and Jess for their 10-year wedding anniversary on St. Simons Island — the very island where they first said “I do.” Not only is the island breathtaking, but being able to capture this milestone for two people I genuinely look up to made it truly special.

Mike and Jess are the kind of couple who make you believe in love that’s intentional, steady, and joyful. Over ten years of marriage, they’ve built a life full of partnership, laughter, and love that radiates to everyone around them. Documenting this chapter of their story, walking along the beaches, exploring the dunes, and capturing the golden light as the sun dipped behind the water, reminded me why I love photography so much: it’s about preserving real, meaningful moments in the people’s lives you care about.

St. Simons Island is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph couples. From the iconic beaches to the charming streets, marsh views, and historic landmarks, it’s a versatile destination for engagement sessions, anniversary shoots, and weddings. I also have family in the area, which makes trips here feel like coming home, and it gives me the perfect excuse to capture gorgeous coastal photos while visiting. Whether you’re planning a destination wedding, celebrating a milestone, or just want to document your love story against the backdrop of the Georgia coast, St. Simons Island is a dreamy location for timeless, beautiful photography.

M + J, thank you for letting me celebrate this milestone with you and for reminding me what love looks like at 10 years — full of laughter, warmth, and authenticity.
